Finally...

So here are some new pictures finally. They were taken during filming a couple weekends ago. I think I like them. I like working with a lot of light. I am also toying with the idea of getting a dark room. I'm not sure what it entails exactly, I am assuming it entails a lot of money, so I am going to start looking into it I think. I like the idea of having complete artistic control over my photography. From there I would also like to have control over framing and matting. Which would mean figuring out framing and matting. I have a lot of thoughts right now. We'll see where they take me.
New job is going well. I think I'm going to like it.

My Office...

This is a picture of where my office is located. This is called the Capital Building I believe. I started my job there this week. So far it's a little frustrating but only because I hate starting new jobs. But I am excited for what's to come working there.
I am also on my way to the photo lab to drop off a couple rolls that I finished off this morning. So I will get those up here at some point this week.
It's been crazy around here with the new job. And also Jodi and I put an offer in on a townhouse here in Edmonton last week. We haven't finalized anything yet. The seller's are going through a divorce and don't talk to each other ever, which is making the process go very slowly, but Jodi and I are quite excited. It's a great place.

DVD's

So in the mail this morning I received a Region Free Dvd Player. It is a glorious day in the Davies household. You see, some geniuses decided to make dvd watching difficult throughout the world and created regions. For instance, you can't watch a dvd from Britain on a regular dvd player from North America. So that is why I bought a Region Free Dvd Player. This way I can buy dvd's from 'across the pond' that aren't available here in North America. This is what is on the shelf to watch...Damnation, Werchmeister Harmonies, Satantango, and Clouds of May. It is going to be an awesome week.
In other news. A week today I start a new job. I am tremendously excited. I have been serving for 7 years on and off and I am so happy to be done. If serving were a person I would say "see ya" and kick it in the crotch on Tuesday when my last shift was done.

Remembrance Day

Remembrance Day is very special to me. I have a lot of relatives that fought in both world wars. Pictured above is my grandfather who passed away this summer. He was stationed in Halifax during World War 2 fixing airplanes for the RCAF. I am so proud to have this legacy in my family.

Family

These are my family members. I know you've seen some of these pictures before but they are new scans, so they look different. Hopefully soon I will be changing a lot of pictures on my website and adding new ones. Hopefully.
Jeff and I are filming a new short film this weekend. Should be good fun.
